Usman I don't think the mother was behaving badly. I am sure the crowd assured her that they would catch her toddler and if it was between them saving her toddler or the mother hanging to her child, losing her grip and them both plunging to their death possibly she did what she thought would save her child. Even though it seems harsh, it would be easier to catch a toddler than an adult women and a toddler at the same time.
